Mohsin Leghari of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party has won the by-election for the National Assembly seat of NA-193 Rajanpur, as per unofficial results. Leghari secured a total of 90,392 votes, defeating his opponent Ammar Leghari of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) party by a margin of 35,174 votes. Ammar Leghari managed to secure 55,218 votes. The by-election was held after the death of Sardar Jaffar Khan Leghari, the previous PTI representative for the constituency in December 2022.

The Election Commission of Pakistan had set up 237 polling stations for the by-election, and a total of 11 candidates were in the running. The PTI had previously nominated its Chairman, Imran Khan, as a candidate for the by-election. However, Khan withdrew his candidacy earlier this month, citing a possible disqualification in the Tyrian White case

.

The by-election was highly anticipated, with a tough competition expected between the PTI and PML-N candidates. Mohsin Leghari’s victory has given PTI a significant boost, and the party is now hoping to continue its momentum in the upcoming general elections.

It remains to be seen how Mohsin Leghari will fare as the new representative of NA-193 Rajanpur. However, his win has given him the opportunity to work towards the betterment of the constituency and its people. The people of Rajanpur will be hoping for positive changes and development in their area under his leadership.
